“Beautiful China – Photo Show of 2017 Year of Silk Road Tourism” Held in Manila
During May 28-31, 2017, “Beautiful China – Photo Show of 2017 Year of Silk Road Tourism”, which was organized by CNTA’s Office in Singapore and the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry. lnc. (FFCCCII), was unveiled at the auditorium of FFCCCII and SM Mall of Asia. Over 200 persons from the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines, Chinese airlines and organizations of Filipino Chinese attended the opening ceremony. Chargé d'affaires He Xiangqi from the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines, Pasay City Mayor Antonino G. Calixto, Binando Tourism and Culture Administration Director General and FFCCCII President attended and addressed the opening ceremony.
By taking the opportunity of the China-ASEAN Tourism Cooperation Year, the photo show is expected to further enhance cooperation and communications between China and the Philippines. It showed beautiful sceneries and distinct cultural sights, helping more Philippines feel the dramatic changes and China and gain insights into the country, so as to build a bridge of tourism for keeping promoting friendship and ties between the two peoples.
Nowadays, China and ASEAN countries have seen more than 30 million person-time visits to each other, heralding that tourism will further strengthen the political, economic and cultural relations between the two sides and provide important supports for building a community of common destiny between China and ASEAN countries.
The photo show put on display over 100 exquisite travel-related photos covering Chinese landscape, culture, history, folk custom and large-scale festivals, etc. It featured the skillfully-designed rounded arch and plum blossom wall in Suzhou traditional gardens as well as the large-scale backboard of the logo of “Beautiful China” inside the rounded arch, just like a girl from the southern regions of the Yangtze River telling the story of “Beautiful China” in a murmuring stream, attracting many local residents, who enjoyed the scene with great relish.
